History

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is touching millions of lives--one heart at a time. Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, college/universities and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is the largest Christian sports organization in America. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ thru the strategy of "To and Through the Coach."

FCA Philippines started in March 2010. Former FCA International Director Barry Spofford and Coach Randy Chambers, Area Director, FCA Delaware came to the Philippines to help organize FCA Philippines,  with Pastor Gary Visitacion appointed as the National Director.

FCA Philippines now has different chapters all over the country. Cities like Metro Manila, Cebu City, Bacolod City, Iloilo City and Davao City are the pioneers of these chapters. In the next five years, FCA plans to open more chapters in the different parts of the country.

Praying before the game

Values

Our relationships will demonstrate steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word through Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence.

Integrity

We will demonstrate Christ-like wholeness, privately and publicly. (Proverbs 11:3)

Serving

We will model Jesus' example of serving. (John 13:1-17)

Teamwork

We will express our unity in Christ in all our relationships. (Philippians 2:1-4)

Excellence

We will honour and glorify God in all we do. (Colossians 3:23-24)

Strategy

To and Through the Coach

We pursue our vision and mission through the strategy of to and through the coach. We seek ministry first to coaches' hearts, marriages and families. Then, when ready, we minister through coaches to their fellow coaches, teams and athlete leaders.

Billy Graham said, “A coach will impact more people in one year than the average person will in an entire lifetime.” With the influence of a coach, FCA recognizes that the most strategic way to reach more athletes is to first reach the coach.
